This armchair and footrest, called Rocking Chaine, is a lounge chair designed by Jean-Marc Mouligne and published by Quart de Poil in Paris in 1993. The unit consists of a base on which rest two chains linked by elastic crosspieces covered in rubber tubing. It provides astonishing seating comfort.
5 seat positions and 12 different footrest positions are possible, and the whole unit can be completely dismantled. A prize-winner at the Salon du Meuble, this armchair is currently part of the collection of the MAMAC (Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art) in Seborga, Italy.
