Surrealist sculptures Salvador with a nod to .... JLB usually makes wrought iron sculptures sometimes combined with glass. Here the wrought iron is limited to an illustrious mustache, seat lips and a fused clock encased in a wooden figure. He albertini glass is 2 cm thick in mass colored with natural oxides and was cut by hand. The materials and the technique used by the artist completely blend into the result. All sculptures have a high caressability factor, but are so layered that the viewer almost immediately seeks out the message and the relationship the viewer has with it.... Unique signed work from 2024. JLB received musical training at the Conservatory of Ghent after which he pursued a career as a horn player, conductor, composer and teacher. At the same time, his interest as a self-taught musician went to artisanal forging, first to restore or manufacture all kinds of ironwork in the old way. Later he discovered the possibilities of creating scultpures. After meeting and brief apprenticeship with Martin Granel, he discovered the combination of glass with iron.
