Product description
Originally from Romania, the Brazilian architect and designer Jean Gillon created this iconic masterpiece in 1968, inspired by a raft-like fishing boat from northern Brazil: the jangada. In the trapezoidal frame, which is reminiscent of the jangada's silhouette, the designer attached a fishing net-like nylon mesh that supports the large leather cushion. Today, the Jangada armchair is considered one of the most important works of Brazilian modernism. Very good used condition. Only the leather of the headrest shows minimal signs of use.
