Jean Austruy (1910-2012) was a French artist known for his innovative and artistic approaches within ceramic art. He worked in Vallauris, a town in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region of France famous for its pottery. Many famous artists, including Pablo Picasso, worked in Vallauris and contributed to the rich tradition of ceramics, and Austruy was one of the contemporary masters who continued this tradition.
