Jaw is a French artist and a member of Da Mental Vaporz (DMV) crew whose unique style and reputation burgeoning soon lead him to be exported beyond Marseille, very soon he was invited in numerous meetings graffiti all over France, but also in Mexico, Venezuela, Brazil, Spain , Macedonia, England ...
Born in 1982 in Reims, Jaw followed his parents in Algeria and grew up in the city of Oran until 7 years. Back in France, he continued his education in Cavaillon and discovered graffiti at the age of 15.
The first years of scribbling graffiti and intensive ongoing, it naturally leads to a school of visual communication (AxeSud) in Marseille, where he was introduced to illustration, graphic design and multimedia creation in general. During these three years, he develops his work in all media and meets graffiti from Marseille (Phaz, Heng, Lime, ...) with whom he creates his first murals. At the same time, he joined the group The ARTMADA, with which he is involved in several art projects, both social and cultural.
After graduating, he worked on his first book (illustrations, cover editing...), "La France from below" (12 000 copies), and appeared in many books ("Retroactive 2", "Graffiti"...) and in the press.
In 2003, Jaw joined the DMV crew. This stimulates his natural talent to evolve into a more refined and thoughtful work, but also to get a foot in the door in the world of contemporary art and advertising, because now his work, both individually and collectively, is no longer limited to only graffiti.
Jaw today mounted his own structure "Drops" with which he made ??numerous orders , institutional or private. Meanwhile, he continues to develop his practice on canvas, where his style and technique become increasingly precise and consistent.
The work is in excellent condition.
