This beautiful hand-painted Japanese Satsuma vase is part of a set made between 1921 and 1941 by the famous Shimazu clan of Japan. The vase has a height of 24 cm and a diameter of 15 cm at its widest point.
The front shows three figures dressed in traditional Japanese clothing, With delicate lanterns above them. The back of the vase shows an attractive cottage, beautifully framed with gold accents, against the background of an enchanting Japanese landscape. The detailed paintings, combined with the refined finish, reflect the masterful craftsmanship of the Shimazu clan, making this vase an impressive example of Satsuma porcelain.
