Janneke VIEGERS (Nijmegen 1952). Lives and works in Amsterdam.
Training Academy of Visual Arts, Arnhem
She was a teacher at the Academy of Visual Arts in Arnhem for five years. She also taught at the Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam.
Makes large oil paintings, both bird's eye views of cities and portraits and short films. Exhibits since 1980 and had several solo exhibitions. Work by her is in the collections of the Senate and House of Representatives, the European Parliament, the Amsterdam Historical Museum, and the Museum of Modern Art in Arnhem, among others.
