Sport has never really been an important subject in painting in the Netherlands, but the oeuvre of Jan van Diemen is an exception. Sport with a capital S and more than a hint of Kees van Bohemen or Jan van Lokhorst!
Oil on canvas, signed and dated lower right ('80s), in a very simple wooden frame. In very good condition. Personally, I would replace the frame, the painting deserves a nicer frame.
