Jan Peter van Opheusden (1941) was born in Eindhoven, where he still lives and works. Jan Peter studied at the Academy for Industrial Design in Eindhoven. In addition to painting, Van Opheusden teaches fine arts and handicrafts, after which he establishes himself as an independent artist. Jan Peter embraces a wide range of disciplines such as painting, sculpture and various graphic techniques. His works have been exhibited nationally, in Germany, Monaco, France, Spain, China, Indonesia and Russia. He believes there is no such thing as becoming an artist, either you are or you aren't. The central themes in Van Opheusden's compositions explore movement and colour. His vibrant and distinctive pieces are created using lithography and acrylic on canvas.
