Product description
Jan Jongschaap is originally from Dordrecht, but he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Rotterdam and moved to Zierikzee in 1969.
Jongschaap mainly worked abstractly with bright colours. He worked in a way that you think you recognize all kinds of things in his work.
This painting bears the title 'Andalusia' and depicts a bullfight. Although the abstract nature of the painting makes it difficult to imagine a bullfight, you can recognize recognizable shapes, for example at the top left.
This bright and colorful work is painted with oil on board and is framed in the original simple frame made by himself. The work is signed. The work is in very good condition, it has hung neatly all the time. The work is 100x100cm, including the frame it is 108x108 cm.
