Vintage Imari pig figurine, sculpture, made of hand-painted porcelain, Japan, first half 20th century, marked at the bottom. Beautifully decorated with flowers in purple, yellow and pink colors, Imari porcelain has been manufactured since the 17th century. Imari porcelain is the European collective name for Japanese porcelain made in the city of Arita, and exported from the port of Imari, to Europe since 1659. The Imari style is recognized by its three dominant colors: the cobalt blue, the iron red and the white porcelain background (these colors are not exclusive). The more recent the sign the more color.
