Product description
Recycleart sculpture title "Bankless" of 3 sanderlings on an oak base. The sanderlings are about 26 cm long and from the ground the sculpture is about 15 cm high. The sanderlings are made of robinia wood and stainless steel cutlery. They walk on a base of oak wood. This is about 113 cm long and in the middle the widest part is 35 cm. This unique work by Bert Koerts is made of robinia wood with kitchen utensils, cutlery. Bert Koerts is a recycling artist and makes works from materials that people have parted with, most commonly scrap steel, leftover wood and stainless steel kitchen utensils. "I don't like to waste," he says. "As an outdoorsman, having grown up on the farm, I like to make sculptures with figures derived from nature. The sculptures are also meant to be outside." "It is important to me that the artwork is not a decorative end product, but a means to express a thought, to amaze and excite people." Of course, I also enjoy it when it is simply found beautiful: Vanity is no stranger to me either. I prefer to portray human relationships, emotions and behaviors that strike me, fascinate me and make me think.
