Dutch meets Italian design! This special table lamp was produced by Ilu design in the Netherlands in the late 1990s. The glassware was handmade in Italy and was part of Ilu design's 'Vetro' line. Because the glass is mouth blown, each lamp has a unique shape and a different 'swirl'. The glass bulbs have a beautiful design due to the black-brown spirals fused into glass. This gives a special light effect. The glass shade is mounted on a white coated metal base and is secured with three long brass screws that can be loosened if, for example, the light bulb needs to be changed. Size: height 29cm / width 20cm (egg shape) The lamp is marked with an ILU sticker label on the glass bulb and socket (E14 max 40W). The egg shape I haven't come across much myself. Purchased in the early '00s. The lamp has been used but is in very good condition. Like to pick up due to fragility or discuss together how to send.
Cord and switch are a little discolored due to its age. Some very tiny scratches due to use and wear. The glass is whole and without cracks. Same for tho opening/bottom. The metal has some small wear and tear but not significant. Het snoer en schakelaar zijn door de jaren heen iets verkleurd. Hier en daar een heel klein krasje op het glas. Verder gaaf en zonder barsten. Ook de onderkant. De metalen voet heeft wat hele kleine roest / gebruik plekjes
