Very nice dining table set from the series Pirkka by Finnish designer Illmari Tapiovaara from the first series for Laukaan Puu in the early 1950s. Table, bench and chair. Originally the set with 3 chairs. The table is 180x90x68. The bench 180x26x43. The chair is 39x38x75.
Table top has signs of use, scratches pits, burn mark and 2 bald spots. Also on the leg of the bench and that of the table there is a small spot can the black lacquer off. On the top of the table and the bench there is a discoloration in the lacquer that looks like water stains. There is a crack in the seat of the chair. I have a 2nd chair but there the 2black crossbars of one leg are broken, is fixable, is not in the picture.
