Ietske Johanna Richters ('Ietske') born Rotterdam March 22, 1912. Lived and worked in Rotterdam, Hillegersberg and in Amsterdam 1943-1945. Student of the Akademie v. B.K. in Rotterdam. Paints and draws figures in landscape and portraits. Painting children's portraits was her specialty. Ietske was the daughter of the renowned Rotterdam painter Marius Richters.
The painting Volendam girl in mourning costume was painted with oil on canvas. Framed in a brown wooden frame, made in the war year 1941.

Made and framed in the year 1941. Especially the frame has traces of time. Painting is in very good condition.
