Product description
Wonderful and extremely rare Tandem Sling airport bench by Charles & Ray Eames for Herman Miller. This bench was designed in 1962 by the US designer couple on behalf of Eero Saarinen for the first international airports. The row of seats shown here was initially used at Düsseldorf Airport for decades and was subsequently used in the waiting area of a Düsseldorf doctor's surgery until the end.
The three-seater bench has a chrome-plated die-cast aluminum frame and a welded storage table. The seats are upholstered in black leather. The furniture is in very good condition with traces of use typical of its age. The seating comfort is also very good.
The row of seats is ideal for the waiting area of a prestigious medical practice or law firm as well as lounge furniture for commercial or private use.
Dimensions:
230cm W x 82cm H x 71cm D, seat height: 41cm
There is another three-seater bench without table in stock (see other ads by the seller).
The bench comes from a pet-free, non-smoking household. You can see the signs of use in the extensive product photos.
