In 1949, Charles and Ray Eames designed this coffee table as unique furnishings for their own home, the legendary Eames House in Pacific Palisades, near Los Angeles. Since then, the table has contributed to the unique decor of this historic interior. The rectangular table top, exuding both simplicity and luxury, covered in gold leaf.
The top of pure gold leaf, which has been applied by hand. Below is a solid copper top. The legs are made of maple. The table contains the manufacturer's original label with the number 194 out of 500 produced. Thus, it is a very rare specimen.
