The Hussar is a 3D sculpture and based on an original painting/drawing by artist Herman Brood. It is made of synthetic resin/fiberglass, then hand-painted and lacquered with a high-gloss finish.
The dimensions of this work are 24 x 13 x 18 cm.
This artwork has been approved by the Bread Heirs. Upon delivery, the sculpture comes with a certificate of authenticity signed by Xandra Brood.

Herman Brood (Zwolle 1946 - Amsterdam 2001) was a painter, musician and actor. He worked as an artist as he was in life, full of dedication, fast and without making concessions. He was a great admirer and follower of the COBRA movement and especially Lucebert. Although art experts are rather critical of his work, Herman did establish his name in the art world. His work is mostly shown in galleries and is eagerly sought after by the art-loving public. As an artist, Herman is self-taught.
