Herman Brood (Zwolle 1946 - Amsterdam 2001) was a painter, musician and actor. He worked as an artist as he lived his life, with dedication, quickly and without making concessions. He was a great admirer and follower of the COBRA movement and Lucebert in particular. Although art experts are quite critical of his work, Herman has established his name in the art world. His work can mainly be seen in galleries and is in great demand among the art-loving public. As an artist, Herman is self-taught.
