For sale is tapestry Pelle the Rabbit. In my opinion the most beautiful of the three Hella Jongerius made for IKEA PS. Although the cardboard is used (folded in half for transport) the tapestry never hung anywhere. It is always kept in total darkness within the cardboard. Type of artwork Design Year 2009 Dimensions 93 x 70 x 1 cm Marked Marked/Brand sticker Original Cardboard ships with it. Description Tapestry Pelle the Rabbit is part of a collaboration between Hella Jongerius, Ikea and Unicef. Jongerius has designed 3 wall hangings with animals from Swedish fairy tales: Pelle the Rabbit, Mikkel the Fox and Gullespira the Goat. The rugs are made by about 200 women in India. They have partly made the rugs with the sewing machine and partly embroidered by hand. The seamstress's name is embroidered on the back of the rug in Hindi. The rugs are made of felt, cotton and polyester.
