Produced by Getama and designed by Danish design icon Hans J. Wegner, the GE290 is part of Wegner's most famous collections, featuring both armchairs and sofas. Also known as the plank chair, it represents Wegner's ongoing search for the ultimate recliner. This GE290 is believed to date from the 1960s and has been professionally reupholstered with soft green leather by its previous owner.
It is in near perfect vintage condition, with a beautiful light patina on the solid oak frame.
