Original vintage Hans Agne Jakobsson ceiling lamp - Sweden 1960/70
Hans Agne Jakobsson was born in Hvadhem Sweden in 1919. After studying as an architect in Gothenburg
he started working as an industrial designer for GM (General Motors). In the early 1950s he founded his own lighting company in Markaryd.
He became one of the leading Scandinavian designers of the 20th century and gained international fame for his innovative and atmospheric lamp designs. His style was characterized by the use of different materials, such as wood, brass, glass and textiles, and he often played with light and shadow to create soft and atmospheric lighting.
