Visual artist Hannes Postma gained international fame in the 1960s with his series of large color etchings. Between 1970 and 1978 he produced his "sea paintings. This led to the founding of the Hook of Holland School in 1973. With some former students of the Rotterdam academy, he formed a Dadaist group whose aim was to realize artistic projects that exposed the influence of the master or the influence of art history.
