Product description
Painting on canvas with lyric by Hannes d'Haese 'Money will come, money will go....' Acrylic paint on 3D canvas, 80 x 80 x 4, hand signed About the artist: Hannes d'Haese Hannes D'Haese is the opposite of the classically trained artist. Inspired by Karel Appel, D'Haese started painting when he was introduced to the art and colors of the Dutchman. Like this famous Cobra artist who claimed to "just throw some paint on a canvas," D'Haese proclaims that he has never seen the inside of an art academy; emphasizing that you can't become an artist, but that being an artist has to be in you. His dream images, that's what it's all about for him; techniques and schooling work too restrictively. One might call this a provocative attitude, were it not for the fact that he would give his life for love. From love he draws thousands of ideas. Love once ruined him financially; love made him a sinner but a driven sinner, one full of emotion and passion. His self-proclaimed mission: to bless, even bombard the world with his colors. His style has been described as abstract expressionism, leaning toward action painting. Today, this forty-five-year-old artist exudes the perseverance of his father, a doctor who wanted to defeat death, the talent of his mother Begga D'Haese and of his uncles Reinhoud (CoBrA group) and Roel D'Haese (Belgium's greatest surrealist visual artist). On a mental level, Hannes leans closely to Simon Vinkenoog, not so much to his poetry and words, but more to Simon's desire for communication: this endless longing, fueled by an immense desire to reach the unattainable, which might immediately burst should it ever be reached. Hannes D'Haese wants to save the world at any cost. Can't art save the world, rather than religion? This question occupies him strongly. As a child of his time, Hannes D'Haese is intent on conquering the world. Now that the churches are empty, the world desperately needs real solidarity. With his love, his passion and his colors, with his paintings and creative boxes, Hannes wants to become an art priest in the new social art temple of the wide world. Has he followed in the art footsteps of Reinhoud D'Haese and Karel Appel (abstract expressionism) or has he reinvented love and color in a new art form? One thing is certain; his art displays emotion, passion, sadness and happiness. His art is an endless spectacle in which every spectator becomes a part, willingly or unwillingly. His works can be found in many renowned art collections. The royal house of Belgium, the Prince of Monoca among others are the owners of a Hannes d'Haese.
