Dariush T. Mohajer was born in 1944 in Tehran and began painting at the age of 15. Today he works mainly in Italy and Brittany. He graduated in decorative art at the Tehran Academy of Art and participated in the Biennial of Contemporary Painters in Tehran. In 1972, he left Persia. He settled in Italy, in Florence, where he received his degree in architecture. Painter, engraver, illustrator, Dariush enjoys painting the human figure, couples, cats and other animals with false naïve verve and references to Persian miniatures.
