Welcome! You have just looked at a retro gray desk lamp designed by Herman Busquet for HALA Netherlands around 1955 with hallmark. The lamp is called Desklite Model 13. The desk lamp works fine. The lamp is in a reasonable vintage condition with visible signs of wear. Some superficial dents on the shade and some on the base. Original wiring.
HALA is one of the first lighting manufacturers in the Netherlands. Since its foundation in 1932 in Zeist by industrial designer Herman Theodoor Jan Anthoin Busquet. Hala stands for the production of quality fittings in the modern segment. Over the years, HALA also produced some classics such as their 'Pinocchio' and 'The 144' their desk lamp. HALA often collaborated with well-known designers such as Peter Kos, Herman Busquet and Tom Hangover. Herman Busquet died in 1977.
