Set of candlesticks, midcentury, designed by Swedish designer Gunnar Ander in the 1960s for Ystad-Metall. Made of teak wood, black lacquered steel and brass/red copper They are in good condition with slight signs of use. There is a little play on the screws at the bottom, (to be fixed by tightening with proper tools) The price is for the pair. They use 12 mm or 1/2 inch diameter candles. (You get two white candles for free!) Gunnar Ander (1908-1976) is known for his metal and glass work. He is considered one of the most influential Swedish designers of the postwar period, and his creations are highly sought after by collectors and vintage design enthusiasts today.
