Product description
Bought 25 years ago in the Barbizon art house in Doesburg. Painted on board and incorporated into a baking frame. Very colorful work orange yellow blue brown. It represents a tow truck. Guillaume Lo A Njoe recently had an exhibition at the Fundatie in Zwolle. He was born in Amsterdam in 1937. His name is reminiscent of exotic places, soft pastel shades and swaying palms. A confrontation with his work teaches us the opposite. Vibrant colors and aggressive brushstrokes dominate his canvases. Primary emotions have been given a place on his canvases. He paints with fast, intense strokes and when his painting is finished he walks away from it and distances himself. His working method is like a unique and personal confrontation with the canvas. This directness makes the work powerful and lively.
