Very rare wooden sunburst mirror, large format sunburst mirror with convex mirror glass, the mirror is made of wood gilded with gold leaf, by Deknudt, 1950s, Belgium. Belgian house Deknudt, specialized in mirrors and founded in 1946, they are known for their top quality and elegant and timeless design. This beautiful object is in good used condition, unfortunately not perfect, an old (not perfectly matching) gluing of tip of a sunburst, a small piece of a beam is missing, at the back also some old gluing where the layers of wood were delaminated, superficial age cracks on the front, but this mirror still looks fantastic, check the pictures for more details! Dimensions: 70cm diameter, 6cm deep, mirror 18cm diameter. Weight: 2.918kg.
