For sale is a completely restored original Glostrup armchair in mint condition. Object: Lounge / Easy Chair, high-back Description: Classic easy chair, beautiful workmanship of solid teak, striking shapely design, a pleasure to look at and to sit in. Construction: Solid teak frame with one-piece three-dimensional armrests, new braided seat belts and new overhead cushion protector; Cushions can be removed individually. New premium textile cover (see material for properties), removable with zip. Seams are all designed as elegant felled seams according to the original pattern (with this type of seam, the individual cover parts interlock like finger hooks and are then sewn twice. This type of seam is therefore considerably more robust, has a significantly higher tensile strength and is significantly more durable than single / standard seams) . Manufacturer: Glostrup, Denmark Designers: Attributed to Illum Wikkelsø 1919-1999 Carpenter, 1938. Graduated from School of Arts, Crafts and Design, 1941. Employed by carpenter Jacob Kjaer and architects Hyidt & Molgaard. Opened his own office in 1954. Material: Solid teak / premium contract furniture fabric Info premium contract fabric... A particularly robust and heavy (almost 700g/lfm) premium cover material with a very beautiful, distinctive woven look was chosen here. This structurally strong upholstery fabric is easy to care for, hard-wearing and has also been treated with stain protection. It is characterized by a very high abrasion resistance of over 100,000 abrasion cycles and is therefore twice as durable as cover materials, which are used for public facilities with very heavy use. (highest quality range according to Martindale) (from 50,000 abrasion cycles) The light fastness level is greater than 5. Hue: - teak (dark brown with a beautiful reddish tint and natural color nuances) - black The photos are highly exposed so that the 1a condition can also be seen in detail! This makes reddish tints redder and colors generally lighter. The shaded areas or the areas not directly illuminated by the photo light best reproduce the color tones in real life. Dimensions: W: 72cm D: 75cm H: 103cm Sh: 42cm St: 53cm Condition: This armchair has been lovingly restored by the restorer using traditional and natural materials. It is technically and optically in excellent and new condition. A more detailed description of this dream state can be dispensed with. You will not only immediately see the difference to the armchairs from other suppliers - in particular due to the quirks and scratches on the armrests and legs that are almost always present there - you will also feel it! Finding a better condition should be very, very difficult!
