This Kembo 302 (high version) is a very comfortable and solid original vintage armchair by Kembo, designed by Willem Gispen in 1952. This sophisticated armchair is a perfect example of Dutch design, made by the famous brand Kembo and designed by the legendary Willem Gispen in the early 1950s. The frame of the chair is made of anthracite powder-coated bar steel, providing a sleek and durable base. The legs are finished with rubber furniture caps for added stability and protection of your floor. The upholstery consists of a beautiful, ribcord furniture fabric, which is in very good condition with no holes or tears.

A little history: After a disagreement with the shareholders of his own furniture factory, Willem Gispen decided to go his own way and founded Kembo, which stands for "Kom Eerst Maar Bij Ons." His goal was to design even better chairs than those from Gispen's stable, and he certainly succeeded. The 302, W.H. Gispen's first design for Kembo, immediately won prizes at the Italian Triennial in 1954, which is why it is also known as the Gispen/Kembo Triennial.
