Product description
Rare piece of Dutch design in minimalist style! This sofa was designed in the 1950s by Wim Rietveld for Gispen. The sofa has a tubular metal base with a loose seat and loose backrest. The sofa is still completely original! Comes from the first owner, who bought this sofa in 1958 at the Bijenkorf. The sofa has age-related traces in the form of scratches on the metal (see photos). The anthracite-coloured fabric is also original and in good vintage condition. Original floor caps all present. All in all a striking appearance from the 1950s!
2 matching Gispen 1401 armchairs with 2 Gispen 1801 footstools are available with the sofa. See last photo and other ads.
