Hand-cast sculpture, made of a tin alloy and then bronzed.
The base is made of marble, it has a size of 63x63x40mm.
The sculpture is in new condition and is 24 cm high including the marble pedestal.
Ger van Tankeren (1937) is an autodidact. When the demand for his synthetic resin sculptures started to decrease, he switched to casting sculptures in a tin alloy, which he then bronzed. Ger is known for his versatility and eye for detail, he made images from very realistic things to artistic and religious scenes. Ger remained active in making various models until he was 82.
