George Mulhauser was an American furniture designer who created various legendary pieces of furniture for Plycraft Baker Furniture, Knoll and Selig. Mulhauser's work was a central component of American Mid - Century design.
The Mr. Chair was Mulhauser's answer to the Eames Lounge Chair. However, Plycraft only produced the Mr. Chair for a few years. That is why this piece of furniture is a real rarity today and is hard to find, especially in Europe.
Very good condition. Some veneer damage has been repaired with wax. Covered with Naugahyde vinyl. The turning mechanism is somewhat stiff.
