Product description
Large, early edition 'Tutti Frutti' bowl by Gaetano Pesce for Fish Design 1996.
Gaetano Pesce (1939 La Spezia) has become known for his radical 'anti' design and his experiments with new materials. In the sixties he became famous with his Up-Series, chairs compressed and vacuum-packed in PVC wrappers, literally bounced up when unwrapped. In the 1980s he designed his furniture of polyurethane resin, such as the Green Street Chair and the Broadway Chair.
This bowl is made of soft polyurethane resin in the colors of the Italian flag. Manufactured in what they called the 'spaghetti technique'. A limited edition and each piece is unique in form. It's marked with the stamp Fish Design and numbered. This is number 273. Fish Design (Pesce Desegno in Italian) operated from 1995 out of New York and produces today in Milan, Italy, the country of origin of its nature.
Dimensions: diameter 17.3 in. (44 cm), height 5.7 inches (14,5 cm).
