Frits Jansen (born 1948) is a Rotterdam-based painter. Studied at the Academy of Visual Arts. His work is characterized by powerful expressions on an often dark background. Here he often incorporates materials and photographs into the paintings. His pieces are collected worldwide and only rarely appear on the market. This piece is from a series of works he produced and sold in 1994 on the occasion of an African charity project. Purchased this piece in 1994 for HFL 1,000.00.
