Hand-painted decorative plate from the Soldano Brothers (Fratelli Soldano) factory in Sciacca, Sicily, depicting the Sciacca thermal baths with the inscription "Ricordo di Sciacca terme" or "Souvenir des thermes de Sciacca". This entirely hand-painted ceramic piece depicts the front of Sciacca's famous thermal center, known for its therapeutic virtues and now closed. It is then fully glazed with a crackle effect. The drawing bears the inscription "Ricordo di Sciacca Terme" and the signature "A. Soldano" for Alberto Soldano, who opened the factory with his twin brother in 1973. The back of the piece features the signature "F.lli Soldano Sciacca" and a metal suspension wire. The factory, still active today, is a point of interest for travelers wishing to learn about the qualities of Italian majolica.
