Frans Drummen is a 73-year-old artist in Nijmegen. He works in the Krayenhoff barracks. He writes the following about the objects 'bookcases' on his website (www.fransdrummen.nl): "The order and sometimes chaos that you encounter with bookcases inspired me to make a series of three-dimensional painting objects. Books now become color objects. and the rhythm of their bands and the horizontal and vertical lines of the book series give structure to the painting object."
This bookcase has hung on our landing for years. With regret we have to say goodbye to it, because we are going to live smaller.
