Frans baake (Stad-Delden 1958) studied from 1977 to 1982 at the AKI art academy in Enschede. For a year he attended the free graphics department at the Rijksakademie van Beeldende Kunsten in Amsterdam.
His work mainly consists of graphics (woodcuts, plywood and linocuts and serigraphs). In his artist's books, books dealing with various subjects and printed in a limited edition, he uses these techniques, supplemented with photos and texts. He often prints and binds the books himself.
