Designed in 1936 by renowned Danish designer Viggo Boesen, the Fox Chair is a timeless piece that adds a touch of classic elegance to any space. Made with a sturdy frame of thick, curved Manau and Tohiti rattan, this chair combines durability with refined aesthetics. The seat and back are made from continuous thin rattan canes, offering both comfort and style. Each attachment point is carefully wrapped with split rattan, demonstrating the intricate craftsmanship.
Originally manufactured by E. V. A Nissen in Denmark, this design was later manufactured for the Dutch market by Fa. Metz & Co via Fa P. J. Schulting in Noordwolde around the late 1940s to early 1950s. Despite its age, the chair is in excellent condition, with only minor signs of use, making it a perfect addition to any vintage or modern interior.
