The Light Ball, a 1965 masterpiece by Achille Castiglioni for Flos, embodies the essence of Italian midcentury design. This rare lamp, which has been out of production for some time, is still in remarkably good condition considering its age. There are some scratches on it but it is not actually noticeable when the lamps are hanging. The design conveys a refined elegance synonymous with Castiglioni's style. The base of the lamp is made of cast aluminum, and is crowned with a plastic shade. On this, the glass round bulb can be attached, which gives the whole an elegant finish.
