Florence Knoll was one of the most renowned designers of the 20th century. Her innovative designs were style-defining for the idea of modern living and have had a lasting influence on subsequent generations of designers. Her design philosophy was characterized by simplicity and functionality combined with the highest aesthetic standards.
Together with her husband, Hans Knoll, she runs the design furniture manufacturer Knoll International. The brand is still one of the most important manufacturers in the field of furniture design today.
Florence Knoll was honored with the National Medal of Arts by the US Congress in 2002.
The 65 armchair was designed in 1955 and has a chrome-plated square tubular steel frame. Cover made of orange fabric. Original cover.
