Vintage Flemming Brylle & Preben Jacobsen Strips lamp for QS (Quality System) in 1965 - Denmark.
Flemming Brylle and Preben Jacobsen were pioneering designers who have had a lasting impact on the world of lighting. Their work is characterized by an innovative approach to form, material and modularity, and their lamps remain beloved for their aesthetic and functional qualities. Brylle and Jacobsen's legacy lives on in the enduring popularity of their designs, which are an essential part of Danish and international design heritage.
These Strips lamps were later (2000s) reissued by IKEA under the name Lakene. These are recognizable by their white slats and lighter transparent frame.
Interestingly, this one is diamond shaped instead of round like most.
In overall good condition (1 slat is slightly less than perfectly curved in 1 of the surfaces).
E27 socket suitable for LED lamp (not included).
Cord with on/off switch.
A true vintage classic that gives cozy diffused light.
