Beautiful vintage fat lava vase with gray and black drip glaze and red flames along the center, West Germany earthenware, by Scheurich in the highly sought-after Lora pattern, numbered and marked at the bottom Scheurich Keramik 469-18.
West Germany was actually a collective name for ceramics that came onto the market roughly between 1950 and 1990. Some well-known names are Roth, Carstens, Ruscha, Jopeko, Jasba, Fohr, but the greatest were perhaps Scheurich and Bay.
Rare design, called the 'Lora' collection by Scheurich, highly sought after by collectors, Scheurich has several models of vases in this pattern, making them have a high collector's value.
