Antonius Christiaan ( Ton) Klop was born on April 27, 1939 in Rotterdam. He was educated at the Free Academy in The Hague from 1961 to 1963, where he took lessons with Kees Andrea, Nol Kroes and Ber Mengels. He was awarded the Royal grant in: 1963, 1965, 1966. Ton exhibited in the sixties with Anton Martineau, Reinier Lucassen and Roger Raveel at various locations in the country
Worked and lived as a painter, graphic artist and draftsman, mainly in The Hague. Member of Pulchri Studio.
Ton Klop's work is in various private and museum collections and he is mentioned in the Jacobs and the Scheen.
