Product description
Trees de Vries (1925-2013) Around 1970 she moved from Haarlem to Burum in Friesland . Her little farm in the middle of the meadows gave her the peace, space and inspiration to develop creatively. Trees is self-taught, a member of De Ploeg and Fryske Kultuerried and registered with the RKD. As a textile artist she has designed gobelins. With these she exhibited at home and abroad. Around the 1990s Trees started to focus on making graphics. She made a voyage of discovery through the world of form and transformed from the visible world into abstract , for outsiders mostly unrecognizable figures. The works are constructed in shades of gray and sometimes supplemented with sparse use of color. The etching is in good condition and is hand-signed at the bottom. There are some barely visible small bumps in the top right corner of the passe-partout. It is a sturdy passe-partout. Exterior dimensions: 60 cm - 70 cm. Etching size: 44,5 cm - 49,5 cm. Collection in Hoofddorp is possible.
