This is because the plug has been sitting in a floor outlet with a rug on top so that the plug and cord are bent. The lamp has 2 lamp shades, one black and one white. The cost for a new glass shade is between €30.00 and €40.00. This is an option but not necessarily required. Replacing the dimmer / plug / cord is about € 50.00. For the handy do it yourself person this is no problem. New price of the lamp is € 1.400,00. The price is now € 400.00 .
