The brass wheels are original of which 2 are still in very good condition and 2 worn through. However, the chair still rolls and turns fine and can be used for decades to come. The wheels are top quality as they turn smoothly when you take your seat which is rare as most wheels have resistance due to weight when you try to turn the chair. So this chair will not leave scratches or marks on the floor.
