Product description
Emile Mortier (1892 - 1977)
This painting embodies a post-impressionist approach with its expressive brushstrokes and vivid color choices. The landscape showcases a serene rural scene, with rustic houses set against a backdrop of rolling hills and dense greenery. The artist’s use of an emerald color palette lends the composition a lush vibrancy, evoking the atmosphere of a summer day on the verge of a thunderstorm. This rich, moody green underscores the heavy, humid air, capturing nature’s anticipation before an impending change in the weather. The textured brushwork further enhances the dynamic feeling, bringing the scene alive with subtle motion and depth.
The color of the painting might differ slightly from the pictures, depending on the lighting in your space.
