Designed by Marcel Breuer in 1926 and produced by Thonet Frankenberg in the 1930s, the B 18 table is a masterclass in radical reduction — where each line exists with purpose. This particular example is preserved in completely original condition, offering a rare glimpse into the untouched spirit of early modernist thinking.
With its floating tubular steel frame and cantilevered form, the table reflects Breuer’s architectural training and his Bauhaus belief that furniture should be both rational and beautiful. The rectangular colorless glass tabletop, sitting on original black rubbers, with only minor scratches and a couple of small chips at the edges, shows age with quiet dignity, carrying the story of almost a century of use.
This piece retains its authentic surface, with natural patina, subtle wear, and original fittings intact — an increasingly rare find in today’s market.
